Elwood L. Lebo

Trevorton - Elwood L. Lebo, 76, of 830 Mountain St. Trevorton,
died Monday, Dec 27, at 9:25 p.m. in the Mountain View Manor
Nursing Home, where he was a guest for the past 10 months. He
was in ill health for the past 17 years.

Born in Trevorton on Jan. 29, 1923, he was a son of the late
Samuel and Hannah (Derrick) Lebo. He was a lifetime resident
of Trevorton.

Mr. Lebo was employed as a truck driver in the coal industry
for many years.

On March 23, 1945, in Sunbury, he was married to Mary C. 
Betzko.

He was educated in Trevorton schools and was a member of the
Zion Lutheran church of Trevorton.

He was also a member of the Trevorton American Legion Post 92
and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his wife, Mary, survivors include two sons,
Robert and John Lebo, both of Trevorton; a daughter, Cheryl
Bendas of Shamokin; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren;
two brothers, James Lebo of Trevorton and Franklin Lebo of
Shamokin; and a sister, Joan Roadarmel of Trevorton. He was
preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Herb, and Leon
and two sisters, Dorothy Davies and Evelyn Lebo.
